The new Eastern Australia wheat contract (code WM) launched in October 2015, superseding the NSW wheat contract (code VW) which will cease trading on 19 January 2017.
The Eastern Australia wheat contract expands the range of the geographic arc of delivery points to include Queensland and Victoria as well as NSW.
Some statistics over the life of the NSW wheat contract, which has traded over 40Mt equivalent since it launched in 2003:
