PACIFIC Seeds has announced the release of Hyola Feast CL, a new earlier maturing graze and grain winter Clearfield canola hybrid set to provide more options for farmers.
Hyola Feast CL provides an 8 series flowering and windrowing maturity delivering results 5-8 days faster than other popular winter canola types.
Whilst exhibiting a lower vernalisation requirement, Hyola Feast CL provides a wider range of regions with access to the graze and grain canola segment.
Pacific Seeds national canola technical manager, Justin Kudnig, said the release of the new variety was in direct response to industry demands for a quicker maturing graze and grain canola hybrid.
“Hyola Feast CL is the culmination of multiple years of exciting technical research, extensive agronomic field trials and the highest quality assurance procedures,” Mr Kudnig said.
“We’ve already seen it deliver fantastic grain yields up to 20 per cent higher than others in the market and it will nicely complement our own industry-leading Hyola 970CL.
“Together with its very high blackleg R (P) rating and blackleg group H category, Hyola Feast CL is the perfect choice for rotating disease resistance in Australia’s canola regions.”
Hyola Feast CL is suitable for both irrigated and dryland scenarios across all major canola growing districts including New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania.
It is available for ordering now and will be available in limited quantities for the upcoming 2021 canola season.
