GRAINCORP has more than doubled its harvest intake in the week to today, with 3.4 million tonnes (Mt) now in its eastern Australian system.
This follows a week where deliveries totalled 1.6Mt, as outlined in GrainCorp’s weekly Harvest Update.
GrainCorp said harvest activity in Queensland has continued at pace, with the majority of deliveries occurring across its Central Qld sites.
“High-quality chickpeas are flowing in and teams are outloading to meet the busy export program to the Indian subcontinent,” the update said.
“Canola, barley and wheat receivals are coming in across northern and southern New South Wales, showing strong quality.
“Chickpea deliveries are expected to increase in the weeks to come.”
“In Victoria, deliveries are largely coming in across the northern Mallee and Swan Hill clusters of sites, with action still to get fully under way across the rest of the state.”
