AN app has been created for iOS and android phones to guide participants through the Australian Grains Industry Conference (AGIC) 2018 conference program and associated events taking place in Melbourne from 31 July to August 2.
Conference organiser, Rosemary Richards, said the app was developed to make session information easy to search and share in a handheld format.
“Our feedback shows delegates still value the conference booklet, but we recognise the technology is advancing and the app is way of having the booklet in your pocket. We hope visitors to AGIC 2018 will try out the app to look up what’s on in the sessions.”
Download the app for your iOS or android device here.
It will ask you to send your mobile phone number with the syntax 614xx xxx xxx to the My Yapp site, which will step you through downloading the app and take you to the AGIC Australia 2018 app page.
With a tap of the screen, users of the AGIC 2018 app will be taken to a downloadable pdf of the session details.
It will also contain conference updates as they occur, as well as twitter feeds, photos and information about presenters, exhibitors and sponsors.
Over Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 August more than 30 speakers, panellists, session chairs and facilitators will provide insights and promote discussions at this peak grain industry event.
