- A cold front and troughs brought rainfall to parts of the south during the week.
- Tropical convection was scattered across the Kimberley in Western Australia, the Top End of the Northern Territory and Cape York Peninsula in Queensland during the week, with a tropical low bringing Gove Airport its wettest day since April 1999, with 221.4 mm in the 24 hours to 9 am on 17 April 2022.
- Weekly rainfall totals in excess of 100 mm were recorded in isolated parts of the northern tropics and in small areas in the South East Coastal District of Western Australia, with Ravensthorpe measuring its second-highest all-time daily rainfall on record on 13 April.
- Weekly totals greater than 50 mm were recorded in the far northern Kimberley, parts of the Top End of the Northern Territory, Cape York Peninsula, and along the South East Coastal District in Western Australia.
- The highest weekly rainfall total was 469.6 mm at Gove Airport in the Top End of the Northern Territory.
