Weekly rainfall update + rain outlook 21 June 2023

WEEKLY rainfall totals of 50-100mm from the passage of cold fronts fell over south-east South Australia, western Tasmania and the south-west coast of Western Australia in the past week.

Weekly totals of 15-50mm fell in parts of Victoria south and west of the Dividing Range, northern Tasmania, Agricultural Districts in South Australia and parts of WA’s South West Land Division.

Isolated coastal falls of up to 25 mm were recorded along the Queensland tropical coast and in the WA’s Pilbara.

Otherwise, very little rain across northern Australia during the week.

The highest weekly total at a Bureau gauge was 99mm at Lenswood in SA.

The highest daily total at a Bureau gauge was 46mm at Mount Buller, Vic, in the 24 hours to 9am on June 16.
