AUSTRALIA shipped 28,220 tonnes (t) of chickpeas to Bangladesh in April, according to ABS export statistics published last week.
Bangladesh has imported the majority of Australia’s chickpea this year.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) took 8663t in April, India 247t, Nepal 1,770t, Pakistan 2,189t and Sri Lanka 247t.
The United States, United Kingdom and Canada were among the western destinations listed, taking 153t, 1,509t and 562t respectively.
