Viterra’s South Australian receivals hit 5.66Mt

SOUTH Australian bulk handler Viterra received 10,794 tonnes of grain between 5 March and April 1 to take its total receivals for 2017/18 to 5.66 million tonnes (Mt).

In the month to 1 April, Viterra received 726t in its western region to take the total to 1.55Mt, while the central region took in 6886t to take its total to 2.76Mt.

In the eastern region, 3182t was delivered to sites, to take its total to 1.35Mt.

As earlier reported on Grain Central, Viterra had its largest shipping day on record on 26 March by out-turning more than 100,000 tonnes of grain for export.

Exports have been steady out of Viterra’s six ports, with more than 2.4 million tonnes shipped so far to 19 different export destinations.
