PACIFIC Seeds is offering two new canola hybrids, Hyola Defender CT and Hyola Continuum CL, to Australian growers from next season.

Both are being marketed as having outstanding yield performance, elevated oil content, and enhanced weed-control flexibility, enabling them to deliver significant benefits to Integrated Weed Management strategies.

They both also have the highest rating of resistant against the fungal disease blackleg, and have the distinctive tri-group resistance, ADF.

Both hybrids have shown exceptional performance results in independent industry trials over several years and provide farmers with additional tools for maximising profitability, sustainability and flexibility.

Hyola Defender CT

Featuring dual-stacked herbicide tolerance, Defender CT enables growers to apply over-the-top (OTT)
applications of Clearfield and Triazine herbicides, with the added advantage of planting into fields with group 2 Imidazolinone (IMI) and group 5 Triazine herbicide soil residues.

A mid-season maturity CT hybrid, Defender CT delivers remarkable grain yield, robust plant vigour and a very high oil content, and its performance is closely aligned with the renowned Hyola Blazer TT variety.

Defender CT offers uniform flowering, and a manageable height for direct harvesting.

Its yield range is 1.5-5.5 tonnes per hectare, and it is suited to medium to very high rainfall zones.

Hyola Continuum CL

Hyola Continuum CL presents growers with remarkable yield performance and enduring blackleg
protection.

Continuum CL enables growers to apply Clearfield herbicides OTT , with the added advantage of planting into fields with group 2 IMI soil residues.

An early-mid maturity Clearfield hybrid, Continuum CL provides wide environmental adaptability with
excellent oil potential.

Continuum CL exhibits strong yields in target environments and demonstrates excellent adaptability to growing regions with a yield range of 1-5.5 tonnes per hectare.

Continuum CL showcases an exceptionally high level of early plant vigour, and high resistance to lodging, and is suited to low to very high rainfall zones.

Hyola Defender CT and Hyola Continuum CL will be commercially available in 2024, and growers interested in ordering seed are advised to contact their local Pacific Seeds territory manager.
