Spectacular footage of 2017 Kansas wheat harvest

Grain Central, September 27, 2017

Every year for the past five years Doug Armknecht from Kansas Farm Imagery has filmed the LaRosh family’s wheat harvest, providing outsiders with a stunning insight into farming life and the hard work that goes into bringing food to the kitchen tables of the world.

Mr Armknecht has just released his film of the 2017 harvest, shot in June and July, and we think you’ll agree it’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to enjoy.

The LaRosh family has been farming in Osborne County, Kansas since 1871.

The footage was shot using Sony A6000 and A6500 (Lenses: Sony 12-18mm f4, 16-55mm kit, 50mm f1.8, 55-210mm) and GoPro Hero 4 Black, with aerial images filmed using a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone/quadcopter Some action/timelapse shots filmed with GoPro Hero 4 Black.

The combines are Case IH 8230 with Macdon draper headers. The Tractor is John Deere 8420 pulling a grain cart.
