WA harvest kicks off in three port zones

Grain Central, October 19, 2018

WESTERN Australia’s harvest has started this week in three of the state’s four cropping zones, which will be supplying grain for export, the state’s own use and the drought-affected eastern states in this new marketing year.

The first delivery to WA’s major bulk handler, CBH Group, for the 2018-19 harvest was received in the Geraldton Zone on Tuesday, where about 36 tonnes of canola was delivered to the Geraldton port terminal using CBH’s new CDF app, which was introduced across all sites this year after positive feedback from its trial last year.
