Monday’s North American markets rose about 2 per cent

  • Chicago wheat March contract up US14 cents per bushel to 648.5c;
  • Kansas wheat March contract up 14c/bu to 627.25c;
  • Minneapolis wheat March contract up 13.5c/bu to 626c;
  • MATIF wheat March contract up €3.25/t to €226.50/t;
  • Corn March contract up 11c/bu to 511.5c;
  • Soybeans March contract up 31.75c/bu to 1343.5c;
  • Winnipeg canola March contract up C$26.10/t to $675.70;
  • MATIF rapeseed February contract up €4.75/t to €437;
  • Brent crude March up US$0.47 per barrel to $55.88;
  • Dow Jones index down 37 points to  30,960 points;
  • AUD weaker at $0.771;
  • CAD weaker at $1.274;
  • EUR weaker at $1.214
