Monthly canola exports double in March to 339,311t

EXPORTS of Australian canola totalled 338,311 tonnes in March, more than double the 164,514t shipped in February, according to the latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

This mirrors the pattern of 2019, when 338,864 tonnes of canola was shipped in March, double the 162,505t shipped in February.

The Netherlands was the biggest customer for the month, taking two cargoes totalling 126,844t, to mark the height of European crusher demand.

In second place was China, which imported 88,730t, followed by Belgium on 61,850t.
