A RUN on deliveries to New South Wales sites this week has lifted GrainCorp’s intake for the current harvest to 3.9 million tonnes, according to its latest weekly Harvest Update.
“Harvest activity picked up across NSW with large volumes coming in around the Moree, Burren Junction and Dubbo regions in the north, and Griffith and Wyalong in the south,” the company said.
“Victorian growers in the northern zones have picked up the pace now, with deliveries around Swan Hill and the broader Mallee regions starting to come online.”
GrainCorp said deliveries continued across Queensland last week, with most arriving at sites in the Western Downs and Goondiwindi regions.
Rainfall was received in many areas across eastern Australia over the weekend, and with further falls forecast across later this week, GrainCorp said it was expecting to see a delay in deliveries.
