DELIVERIES to GrainCorp, eastern Australia’s biggest bulk handler, today hit 12.39 million tonnes (Mt), according to its latest Harvest Update.
GrainCorp reports the winter-crop harvest in northern New South Wales is now mostly complete, with final receivals now trickling in.
The trend of exceptional yields has continued across many parts of eastern Australia, and the year-to-date winter-crop receivals have now passed those of 2016-17, which got to 12.3Mt.
Direct-to-port receivals for the year to date stand at 300,000t, and GrainCorp is expecting these to continue into 2021 to possibly rival the 2016-17 figure of 2.4Mt.

The Victorian harvest will continue into January, and GrainCorp will issue its next harvest report on 4 January.
