GROWERS delivered 1.97 million tonnes (Mt) to the GrainCorp network in eastern Australia in the week to December 13 week to take total receivals for the harvest to date to 8.34Mt.
The weekly figure include 1.1Mt in New South Wales alone to lift the state total to 4.6Mt in the GrainCorp network.
Deliveries into GrainCorp’s NSW site include loads straight off the header, and others which have been held on farm because rain in some areas made roads and paddocks impassable.
GrainCorp said Queensland’s winter-crop harvest is now mostly complete, with final receivals trickling in from the Goondiwindi region.
Deliveries in NSW continue to pick up the pace after rain-delayed receival activity, particularly around the Dubbo region in the north and the Wyalong and Griffith clusters in the south.
The Victorian harvest is in full swing, especially across the north-east of the state and the Wimmera regions, with very strong canola deliveries.
