GRAIN receivals in the fortnight to yesterday have more than doubled at GrainCorp’s sites in Victoria, where harvest in the southern Mallee is in full flight, and gaining pace in the Wimmera.

In its latest fortnightly harvest update, GrainCorp said the Victorian harvest was progressing strongly, with southern Mallee sites including Beulah, Donald, Rainbow and Warracknabeal leading the way.

GrainCorp expects “solid volumes” to be delivered to its Wimmera sites this week now that harvest in this region is well under way.

North of the border, the harvest in southern New South Wales is drawing to a close, but is still in progress in the Junee and Temora districts.

In Queensland, receivals continue to trickle in.
