Receivals in the past month were highest in Vitera’s Central region, with its Port Giles site receiving the biggest tonnaget.
The company said strong demand for domestic rail movements has seen more than 20 trains loaded for domestic markets since 5 January, which takes the total number of trains loaded since domestic demand kicked in in August 2018 to 165.
“In contrast to the same time last year, when our outturns were predominantly rail focused, our road, bulk-vessel and container-packing supply chains are currently all also very busy outturning South Australian grain to international and domestic markets,” the company said.
