GROWERS in eastern Australia delivered 121,850 tonnes of grain into the GrainCorp network in the week to today to take the bulk handler’s intake for the harvest to date to 10.94 million tonnes.
“New South Wales growers are still making some winter-crop deliveries in the north and south of the state, with quality holding up to finish off the season,” GrainCorp said in its latest Harvest Update released today.
GrainCorp said the Victorian harvest was winding down, and is now largely focused in the Wimmera, Geelong region and Western Districts.
“GrainCorp sites in the Southern Mallee and Wimmera regions have recorded their best ever season of receivals.”
GrainCorp’s final Harvest Update for the 2022-23 season will be issued next Monday.
