Signing up to receive Grain Central’s free daily news email has paid off for one reader in more ways than one.

Southern Queensland cattle breeder, grain grower and lot feeder Spencer Morgan, The Grove Shorthorns, Condamine, not only has access to all of the day’s important national grain industry news in one convenient daily email, he is also now the proud new owner of a 47 litre ARB Camping Fridge Freezer.

Mr Morgan’s name was drawn out as the winner of the Grain Central subscriber competition, drawn from the email addresses of all new subscribers to our free daily news email since our website launched in late August.

Mr Morgan has been a long-term reader of Beef Central and began subscribing to Grain Central when it launched as a way to stay up to date with important grain industry trends.

“I like to keep on top of it all, and I find it very good,” he said.

The Morgans have recently finished harvesting their winter crop. 150mm of rain in a few days in September undermined what was promising to be a bumper chickpea crop, however a good wheat harvest and strong cattle prices have helped to compensate.
