THE clean up is still underway after the collapse of a massive grain silo in the United States that spilled 9070 tonnes of corn across the storage complex and cut a major road.
The incident occurred at the Miami Valley Feed and Grain facilities at New Carlisle, Ohio, on Sunday night, US time.
No employees were on the site at the time.
The collapse damaged nearby buildings and brought down power lines, knocking out power to the surrounding area.
State Route 571 is expected to be closed until January 31.
At this stage, authorities don’t know what caused the collapse.
