RECEIVALS from the current harvest into GrainCorp’s network across eastern Australia have more than doubled this week, with 798,800 tonnes now in the system.
According to the company’s Harvest Update released today, harvest activity in Central Queensland is beginning to wind down, with receivals now focussed on the Darling Downs and Goondiwindi regions of southern Qld.
New South Wales sites are now well into harvest, with the Dubbo, Wyalong and Griffith regions starting to receive canola and wheat this week and the first deliveries of chickpeas into sites including Moree.
In Queensland and NSW, the overall quality across commodities has been excellent.
In Victoria, the first deliveries of barley have come into the Northern Mallee and Swan Hill regions.
In other regions of Victoria, some canola samples have been received as windrowing of crops progresses, and cooler weather has slowed progress on the early part of harvest.
