EASTERN Australian bulk handler GrainCorp has received 2.34 million tonnes of grain in the harvest to today following deliveries of 821,200t in the past week.
In its latest Harvest Update, GrainCorp said the winter-crop harvest was almost over, with receivals still trickling into sites in the Goondiwindi region.
Receivals have slowed in the Burren Junction, Moree and Narrabri regions of northern New South Wales, and GrainCorp staff and equipment are moving south to help with harvest in Victoria and other parts of NSW.
“Harvest activity in central and southern NSW continues to pick up pace, with sites receiving canola, barley and wheat,” GrainCorp said.
“Although rainfall over the latter half of last week temporarily slowed receival activity, it picked up again
over the weekend.”
