DELIVERIES into the GrainCorp system passed 9 million tonnes following deliveries into the eastern Australian system of 564,100t in the week to today.
In its weekly Harvest Report, GrainCorp said the winter-crop harvest is mostly complete in Queensland, where growers are looking to summer-cropping opportunities boosted by recent rain in many areas.
“In northern New South Wales, receivals continued steadily, particularly across the Liverpool Plains region, while southern NSW also saw strong delivery volumes until wet weather slowed activity across the state,” the report said.
“Several sites achieved daily receival records, including Werris Creek, Barellan, Quandialla, Bribbaree and Milvale.
“In Victoria, widespread rain has continued to delay receival activity.
“While growers are hopeful of getting back on to their paddocks this week, forecasts still predict more rain in many areas.
