THE NUTRAMIX grain-storage and stockfeed-manufacturing facility at Narrabri has been listed for sale as a dual-purpose business opportunity.

The listing is part of Cattlecare Pty Ltd’s plan to consolidate all operations at its Warwick plant.

Located 5km south-east of Narrabri, the 3.3ha site features a processing plant, a 60-tonne weighbridge, 8t receival pit, and 2120t of elevated storage.

The facility has specialised in manufacturing stockfeed and supplements for various livestock and can produce between 10-12t an hour.

JLL executive agribusiness Bart Norris said the property could appeal to a range of buyers, offering potential for grain storage, a value-added stockfeed operation, or a combination of both.

“It’s talking to two types of businesses whether it be grain storage or a stockfeed manufacturing facility,” Mr Norris said.

Mr Norris said due to the size of the parcel the incoming owner could easily add infrastructure and tailor the site to their needs.

“There is already preexisting infrastructure there, but they could most definitely add-on silos and work on from what’s already there.”

He said the facility was ideally located in a strong agriculture production region with easy access to major arterial routes, including the Newell and Kamilaroi highways.

“It’s in the heart of a high grain-growing area.”

The Nutramix Narrabri site is offered for sale by expression of interest closing 29 November at 4pm.

The property will be sold on an “as is where is” basis with all plant and equipment on site being offered as part of the sale.

The agent declined to comment on anything other than the listing.

Records indicate Cattlecare owns and operates a premix plant at Warwick, also under the Nutramix business name.

According to Australian Securities and Investment Commission documents, Cattlecare is owned by Zheng Qiuxuan, who holds a 95 percent share, and Liu Ying.

Both Narrabri and Warwick facilities were previously owned by Nutramix, founded in 2001 by father and son Stephen and Matthew Wainwright.

The Wainwrights are also cattle farmers and own a property at Rosevale in south-east Queensland’s the Scenic Rim region.

The entity was placed under external administration in April 2022.

Records show Hong Kong firm, Sunten International Investment Limited, believed to be connected to Mr Qiuxuan, holds a 51.2pc stake, with the Wainwright family owning the remaining share via three entities.

Mr Qiuxuan has been a director of Nutramix since 2015, and was reported by The Australian on 11 April 2022 to have co-founded Cattlecare in 2016 with Matthew Wainwright, who resigned from his position as a director of Cattlecare in 2017.

The publication also stated that Mr Wainwright stepped down from the role in 2017.
