AN east-coast trough with a strong easterly flow brought weekly totals of 200-300 mm to Greater Sydney, the Illawarra, and locally along the New South Wales northern coastline over April 5-6.

Weekly rainfall totals of 25-50mm were recorded across parts northern Australia, with up to 100mm on the Cape York Peninsula.
There was little to no rain in South Australia and Western Australia during the week.
The highest weekly total was 333mm at Nashua (Wilsons River) in northern NSW, and the highest daily total was 257mm at Wattamolla (Griffiths), in the NSW South Coast district to 9am on April 6.
