THE GrainCorp network across eastern Australia has received 348,020 tonnes of grain in the week to today to lift total intake for the harvest to date to 10.8 million tonnes (Mt), the bulk handler said in its latest Harvest Update.
GrainCorp said receivals were expected to trickle in for another few weeks in Queensland and New South Wales, where the winter-crop harvest is mostly completed.
“Harvest activity continues steadily across all regions of Victoria particularly around the Wimmera, Central Victoria, southern Mallee and north east regions,” GrainCorp said.
Among the 2022-23 harvest highlights for GrainCorp have been record receivals at Victorian sites, namely Natimuk and Nhill in the Wimmera, and Donald in the southern Mallee.
GrainCorp said its arge grain outload program has continued across its network to create capacity for more receivals, with 300,000t of grain outloaded last week.
Some GrainCorp sites are now open by appointment only.
