THE Grain Central, Beef Central and Sheep Central teams will be taking a short publishing break over the Christmas/New Year period.
Important news content will continue to be posted to the websites over coming weeks, including grain market price updates.
Our regular news emails will return on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our readers and advertisers for their continued valued support in what has been a challenging year for many, and we look forward to keeping the industry informed and up to date through our independent agricultural news service in 2021.

Since sending out our first daily email five and a half years ago, we have worked hard to establish Grain Central as a valued source of continuous, reliable, accurate and relevant national news for Australia’s grain and cropping industry, and as the most targeted and cost-effective advertising platform for companies that service the industry.
Over that time, Grain Central has been written and edited by experienced industry specialists, editor Neil Lyon, commodities editor Henry Wells and respected rural journalist Liz Wells. The advertising section has been in the capable hands of advertising industry professionals, Rod Hibberd and Sally Inslay.
With the retirement of Mr Lyon and Mr Hibberd at the end of this publishing year, Ms Wells will be taking over as Grain Central editor ([email protected]) and Ms Inslay ([email protected]) will remain as the key contact for grain industry advertising.
Our ability to deliver original, industry-specific news and important information free-of-charge to a large and growing audience of grain industry stakeholders across Australia and overseas is thanks largely to the strong and continued commercial support of our advertisers, and for their support we are extremely grateful.
We hope readers continue to find value in the service we provide and, as always, we welcome any feedback or comments about what we can do better to serve readers’ needs.
We take this opportunity to wish all our valued readers and advertisers a happy and restful Christmas/New Year period and look forward to keeping you well-informed about important industry news and trends in 2022.
